11:08 pm - Another Misfits Community

I know promoting in other communities is bad, but I figured it would be okay since it's another Misfits community.. I just started it.. but join if you'd like. Do anything here, post pictures, request MP3s, tell of your experiences.. hell, I don't care. As of right now, I'm the only member... but hopefully that will change soon.

I'm finally able to email pics from my phone now so I thought I'd share. Forgive me because of how terrible my Camera phone is, so I'll just share a couple.

But yeah, I was a lost closer and if I had my digital camera they would have turned out so much better but this is better than nothing.

7:03 pm - Icons

weirdlovemaker
So, in a bored state, I thought about making some Misfits icons based on the work of Danny Dreams. So I did.

Here they are, free for the taking. I was going to ask him permission but the website is down for some reason.

Credit me if you like, although it's not my artwork. I just made the pieces LJ compatible.

Enjoy!

BLACK LEATHER JACKET

This jacket is warm (check out lining), in great condition and ready for you to screen that Adicts cover on the back. No holes, all the buttons, zippers and buckles are in great shape and it wears real nice. It's a smallish size 12.

1:52 pm - DANZIG/DOYLE REUNION

sinoftheflesh
The show fucking kicked ass. At first HIMSA played and I was like 'wtf', the guy looked like Danzig back in the 80's yet it was just heavy metal. Kind of annoying but still fun I guess. All the songs sounded the same so it got old after a while. Behemoth was fucking crazy too, as well as Chimaira (even though they all sound the fucking same). After all the metalhead kids went crazy to these bands, the punks started getting bored and started cheering 'DANZIG' over and over. I guess that is why The Agony Scene didn't play and they went straight to Danzig. Anywho, Danzig comes out, and it wasn't that big of a deal to me because I've shaken hands with the man but just seeing him up there was amazing. He looked glorious. Anywho everyone was drunk and went fucking crazy; it was like a mass of 400 sweaty people in one blob just jumping and flying through the air as they played. It was amazing being there with them playing those old songs... like witnessing history.

When Doyle came out playing this insane riff he looked just like Boris Karloff with a guitar. He played so hard he broke his strings in just about every song. Danzig kept cussing at him and it looked like this short little kid bossing around his pet dinosaur. This chick got pretty much naked in the front and threw her underwear at him and he picked it up and said "This shit's wet already", then he laughed and threw it on some guys head.

Here's the setlist:

Wotans Procession

Skin Carver

Satan's Child

I Luciferi

1000 Devils Reign

How The Gods Kill

Not Of This World

Lucifuge

MISIFIT SET W/ DOYLE

20 Eyes

Astro Zombies

Skulls

Mommy, Can I Go Out And Kill Tonight

Earth AD

Last Caress

We Are 138

BACK TO DANZIG

Twist Of Cain

Mother

ENCORE DANZIG

She Rides

ENCORE W/ DOYLE

Die, Die My Darling

It was such a fucking great show, best I've ever been to.

The fucking security guards wouldn't let me bring my camera in so I only got shitty pictures and video on my phone.

If anyone managed to sneak some pics, please share so I can have some.

Hiya people, I just joined this community...so.....hi.

This isn't being advertised that much, but Michale Graves is touring with his current band, Gotham Rd. I went to the show here in Nashville the other night, and it was great. Even after a 14 hour drive from New Jersey, he put on a great show. They play some stuff from American Psycho and Famous Monsters, and some of his new stuff which sounds VERY similar. It's good stuff, so I reccomend you go see it!

Tour dates and locations are here at his site.

8:29 am - The Fiend Vs. The Crimson Ghost

weirdlovemaker
When I first got into the Misfits, my friends and I all called their logo "The Crimson Ghost". I was told that's what it was called, that's the name of the movie they stole it from, it's what everyone I knew called it.

Recently, though, the Misfits website has been referring to it as "The Fiend". Is this yet another fuck-up courtesy of Jerry Only? Or was I simply mistaken?

This is a picture of a room that Patty Hearst was held in. Patty Hearst was once upon a time held hostage by two men, but was later seen holding a gun and helping out with bank robbings. She was also the base of one of The Misfits song She.

5:29 pm - The Hangman's 8

fiendmorte
We've added two new songs (Grudgefuck and Undead) to our Myspace page, which will be on our upcoming release 'The Hangman's 8'. Undead features lead vocals by myself, Mr. Lugosi (and is a vast improvement over the version that I'd previously recorded for Cave of Graves). Both songs were produced and engineered (as is the rest of the album, which is currently in the final mixdown stage) by JDavyd Williams of In Tenebris.
